Under-the-radar Mariners coaching candidates from MLB (AL/NL West)

Lookout Landing's Kate Preusser highlights several under-the-radar coaching candidates from the AL West and NL West for the Seattle Mariners' coaching staff. The potential options include Athletics minor league hitting coordinator Todd Takayoshi, Rockies assistant hitting coach Nic Wilson, Padres director of player development Ryley Westman, Giants director of player development Ed Lucas, and Diamondbacks assistant Jake Lamb.

Preusser suggests these candidates bring strong development and communication backgrounds, as well as several local connections to the Seattle area. While Dodgers bench coach Danny Lehmann was bypassed as not sufficiently under-the-radar, Preusser argues that figures like Wilson and former Mariners players Lucas and Lamb represent compelling coaching fits for the organization.
