The Chicago White Sox are expected to hire Milwaukee Brewers assistant director of domestic scouting Matt Roffe to oversee their domestic draft operations, according to several league sources. Although the White Sox have not formally announced the hiring, Roffe is set to replace Mike Shirley, who resigned from his position in September.
Roffe spent five seasons with the Brewers, working his way up through scouting operations. His career also features roles as a player personnel and pro scouting analyst with the Arizona Diamondbacks, along with baseball operations and research internships with the Brewers, San Diego Padres, and Major League Baseball.
