Kylian Mbappé must bitterly regret this video. The excerpt showing him joking about the Mao Zedong meme in his likeness…

The French Football Federation is monitoring fallout after Kylian Mbappé referred to Mao Zedong as a dictator in a video. The remarks triggered severe backlash in China, leading sponsors to end collaborations and state television to partially suspend La Liga broadcasts. Although the France captain quickly apologized, repercussions have continued across multiple sectors.
According to L'Équipe, the FFF stated that its contracts with the Chinese market concern the French team as a whole rather than individuals. However, concern persists given Mbappé's prominent role, with his remarks also reportedly surfacing during recent diplomatic discussions.
