Joe Mazzulla has found another way to review his work. Basically, he’s asking artificial intelligence whether he spent practice doing what he said the Celtics needed to do. It’s a reasonable question, even if most coaches probably wouldn’t explain it…

Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla revealed that he is utilizing artificial intelligence to review his past coaching habits and practice plans. Speaking on 98.5 The Sports Hub, Mazzulla explained that he inputs previous practice schedules into AI tools to assess whether his coaching time aligned with the team's stated priorities, such as offensive rebounding.
In addition to evaluating practice efficiency, Mazzulla noted that he is reassessing how the Celtics use halftime. He questioned whether reviewing past mistakes is overly reactive compared to preparing for upcoming plays. The Celtics hold a 3-1 record ahead of their Friday matchup against the Chicago Bulls.
