Nikita Kucherov joins Panthers’ captain Aleksander Barkov in exclusive NHL scoring club

Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov recorded his 1,138th career point to surpass Steven Stamkos as the franchise's all-time leading scorer. The achievement makes Kucherov the eighth active NHL player to hold a franchise points record, joining Florida Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov in an exclusive group of active franchise scoring leaders who have spent their entire careers with one team.

Barkov previously became Florida's all-time scoring leader in March 2023 and currently leads the Panthers with 782 career points. While currently sidelined due to an early-season injury, Barkov is expected to return before the holiday season as he pursues reaching 1,000 points with the franchise.
