Frank Reich hasn’t forgotten about Garrett Wilson.

New York Jets offensive coordinator Frank Reich admitted he must do a better job of getting wide receiver Garrett Wilson involved in the offense amid mounting frustrations. Wilson was limited to just two catches for 26 yards on three targets during a recent loss to the Miami Dolphins, where he was seen visibly expressing his frustration toward passing game coordinator Seth Ryan on the sideline.
Reich acknowledged regretting a specific fourth-quarter play call where Wilson was not targeted before quarterback Geno Smith took a sack. While noting that opposing defensive double-teams on Wilson have opened opportunities for teammates like Omar Cooper Jr., Reich emphasized that the coaching staff needs to create more scheme touches for their top receiver in critical game situations.
