NFC Notes: Jaxon Smith-Njigba, 49ers Trade Deadline Plans, Rams, Seahawks

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch are exploring trade deadline additions, specifically targeting wide receiver and defensive line depth. Offensive tackle Trent Williams expressed his support for moving draft capital to acquire proven veteran talent. Meanwhile, Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald highlighted wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba's dominant role in the offense alongside quarterback Sam Darnold.

Elsewhere in the NFC West, Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay evaluated his defense following a win over the Raiders. McVay confirmed that wide receiver Davante Adams underwent clean-out surgery on his hamstring, expecting him back on the shorter end of his initial six-to-ten-week timeline, while defensive end Myles Garrett and tight end Terrance Ferguson missed practice.
