Blackburn Rovers considered a swoop for the Swansea City man in the summer transfer window but nothing materialised in the end.

Blackburn Rovers manager Tony Mowbray confirmed the club strongly considered signing attacker Elijah Just from Motherwell during the summer transfer window. However, Swansea City won the race for the 26-year-old New Zealand international, securing him on a permanent three-year contract running through June 2029 with an option for an additional year, reportedly costing five to seven million.
Just featured for New Zealand at the World Cup before completing his move to South Wales. Mowbray noted the high fee involved ahead of Blackburn's Championship meeting with Swansea City, while writer Harry Mail argues Blackburn may have avoided a costly mistake given Just has not scored across his first 13 appearances for Swansea under Vitor Matos.
