Fifa Laopakdee followed his opening-round 63 with a 71 on Friday to take a two-stroke lead in the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship in New Zealand.

Defending champion Fifa Laopakdee carded a 1-over 71 in 35 mph winds on Friday to take a two-stroke lead into the weekend at the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship at Te Arai Links in New Zealand. The Arizona State senior sits at 7 under overall through two rounds, having overcome a rough start by recording birdies on three of his final seven holes.
