Middlesbrough remain without the defender for the time being and it is yet to be known exactly when he will be available to play again.

Middlesbrough head coach Kim Hellberg has revealed that center-back Alfie Jones remains "some weeks away" from returning from injury. Hellberg stated that he does not know an exact timeline for when the 29-year-old defender will be available to play again.
Jones has made seven appearances and scored one goal across all competitions this season for Middlesbrough, who currently sit top of the Championship. In his absence, Boro will continue to rely on central defensive options including Adilson Malanda, Ashley Phillips, and Luke Ayling ahead of their weekend fixture against Charlton Athletic.
