Sheffield Wednesday have been linked with a move for the 47-year-old as they continue to weigh up their managerial options.

Hull City assistant manager Dean Holden has signed an improved rolling contract with the Premier League club despite managerial interest from Sheffield Wednesday. The Owls have been considering the 47-year-old coach to replace Henrik Pedersen, who was dismissed following consecutive away losses against Notts County and Doncaster Rovers.
Holden helped Hull City secure promotion to the top flight last season as assistant to Sergej Jakirovic, with the team currently sitting in 10th place. Despite the link to Holden, writer Harry Mail notes that Dave Challinor appears to be the most likely candidate for the Sheffield Wednesday role.
