Sheffield Wednesday will come up against a recent former player on Sunday.
Sheffield Wednesday caretaker boss Matt Hamshaw is preparing to face former Owls forward Jerry Yates when Blackpool visit Hillsborough on Sunday. Yates, who is currently on loan at Blackpool from Luton Town, previously played for Sheffield Wednesday on loan and has a long-standing relationship with Hamshaw dating back 16 years to Rotherham United's academy.
Hamshaw recalled signing Yates as a 13-year-old and coaching him at Derby County, noting he aims to stop the striker from scoring this weekend. The match could mark the end of Hamshaw's caretaker stint as Wednesday seek a permanent replacement for recently dismissed manager Henrik Pedersen.
