After a whirlwind 24 hours, All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons spoke to reporters about the blockbuster trade that sent him from the Titans to the Bears.
All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons expressed his excitement about joining the Chicago Bears after being acquired in a trade from the Tennessee Titans. Speaking at Halas Hall, Simmons stated that he is eager to help Chicago compete for a championship. The move reunited Simmons with defensive end Montez Sweat, his former college teammate at Mississippi State, as he took part in his first practice with the team.
The Bears acquired Simmons by trading two first-round draft picks to the Titans, where he spent eight seasons recording 46.5 sacks in 106 games. Simmons is preparing to make his Chicago debut against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football, noting he is ready to take on whatever role the coaching staff asks of him.
