Clint Hurdle announced on Friday that he is leaving the Colorado Rockies organization after more than 20 years of service. A team spokesperson confirmed that Hurdle and the franchise mutually parted ways, with his final day set for October 31, 2026. Hurdle clarified that he is not retiring, stating he is instead recalculating his journey both personally and professionally.
Hurdle originally joined the Rockies organization in 1994, later managing the team from 2002 to 2009, which included leading Colorado to its first World Series appearance in 2007. After managing the Pittsburgh Pirates from 2011 to 2019, he rejoined the Rockies in 2021 as a special assistant to the general manager before serving as interim hitting coach and bench coach in 2025.
