Former Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood has asked interim Fenerbahçe head coach Dirk Kuyt to deploy him as a number 10.

Former Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood has reportedly asked interim Fenerbahce head coach Dirk Kuyt to deploy him centrally as a number 10. Kuyt, who took temporary charge following Ismail Kartal's departure on October 27, is reportedly receptive to the idea. Greenwood believes he can be more effective playing behind the striker rather than remaining exclusively on the right wing.
Kuyt is considering the tactical adjustment ahead of Fenerbahce's fixture against Goztepe to reduce the 25-year-old's defensive responsibilities and increase his attacking influence. Greenwood joined Fenerbahce from Marseille on July 14 for a 39 million euro fee and has recorded four goals and two assists in his first nine Super Lig appearances.
