Jakub Mensik has withdrawn from the Rolex Paris Masters following a head injury suffered during his Vienna Open match against Adrian Mannarino. Mensik fell on the court during the second set and subsequently underwent medical examinations. On medical advice, the 21-year-old Czech player was instructed to rest and recover, expressing his deep disappointment on social media about missing the final Masters 1000 tournament of the season.
The withdrawal ends Mensik's bid to qualify for the ATP Finals in Turin. He now aims to recover in time for the Davis Cup Finals in Bologna, which begin on November 24. Czech team captain Tomas Berdych will monitor the recovery of Mensik, who is a key player for his national team.
