Teddy Blueger signed as a free agent with the Toronto Maple Leafs this past off-season.

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Teddy Blueger addressed his return to Rogers Arena to face his former team, the Vancouver Canucks. Blueger explained that he originally wanted to remain in Vancouver, but signed a two-year free-agent deal with Toronto after the Canucks organization decided to move in a different direction. Ahead of Saturday's matchup, he also highlighted the natural beauty and mountains as what he misses most about the city.
The 32-year-old center spent three seasons with the Canucks, playing 185 regular-season games and contributing to their 2024 playoff run to Game 7 of the second round. Now playing in Toronto's bottom-six forward group, Blueger has recorded two points in 15 games while winning over 50 percent of his faceoffs.
