The Vancouver Canucks announced they have recalled forward Jacob Quillan from the AHL's Abbotsford Canucks. In a corresponding roster transaction, Vancouver placed forward Filip Chytil on injured reserve due to an upper-body injury suffered following a hit by San Jose Sharks defenseman Darnell Nurse.
Quillan joined Vancouver from the Toronto Maple Leafs in a recent trade alongside Brandon Buhr for Aatu Räty. He has recorded five goals and seven points in five games with Abbotsford. Meanwhile, Chytil, who recorded two assists in seven games, will be eligible to return next Thursday against the Winnipeg Jets.
