The Washington Commanders have been dealing with significant injuries since before the season started, and there’s reportedly another one that will affect the rest of their season. DT Daron Payne showed up on the injury report today with a foot…

Washington Commanders defensive tackle Daron Payne suffered a significant foot injury during Friday's practice walk-through. Payne has been officially ruled out for Sunday night's matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the injury is expected to land Payne on injured reserve and sideline him for the foreseeable future.
Payne is in the final year of his contract and had been considered a potential trade candidate ahead of the deadline. The injury leaves Washington's defensive front further depleted alongside the absence of Javon Kinlaw, with Shy Tuttle expected to see increased playing time.
