The Houston Astros hiring Randy Flores as their new general manager, could create an opportunity for the Los Angeles Angels to pursue Matt Kleine.
The Houston Astros have hired Randy Flores away from the St. Louis Cardinals as their next general manager, pivoting away from Milwaukee Brewers assistant GM Matt Kleine. Evan Roberts of Halo Hangout argues this move could open the door for the Los Angeles Angels to target Kleine for their vacant front-office role.
Pursuing Kleine remains complicated because he recently signed an extension with Milwaukee. However, Roberts suggests that the Angels' ownership under Stan Kroenke could possess the financial resources to overcome obstacles and present an appealing, blank-slate opportunity for Kleine.
