New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo was fined $7,073 by the NFL for an unnecessary roughness penalty during Week 7 against the Houston Texans. Skattebo was penalized 15 yards in the first quarter after lowering his helmet during a seven-yard run, despite finishing the contest with a career-high 124 rushing yards.
Skattebo expressed frustration over the fine and vowed to continue his physical running style regardless of potential penalties. Head coach John Harbaugh defended the running back's technique, stating he believed Skattebo led with his shoulder rather than using his helmet as a weapon.
