The Atlanta Falcons have seen improvement from Michael Penix Jr., but another move could help their offense take the next step.

CBS Sports analyst Josh Edwards suggested that the Atlanta Falcons should target a wide receiver before the NFL trade deadline to support quarterback Michael Penix Jr. Edwards highlighted several potential trade candidates, including Indianapolis Colts receiver Josh Downs, Jerry Jeudy, Brian Thomas Jr., Calvin Ridley, Jauan Jennings, and Quentin Johnston to ease the workload on top receiver Drake London.
Downs is highlighted as a prime target following reports that he requested a trade from Indianapolis during the final year of his rookie contract. London currently leads Atlanta's receiving corps with 38 catches for 616 yards, creating a notable production gap over secondary targets Jahan Dotson, Zachariah Branch, and Olamide Zaccheaus.
