‘Huge’ – Chris Wilder makes Romelle Donovan vow after eye-catching Sheffield United display

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has stated that winger Romelle Donovan will have a huge role to play this season following his strong performance in a 1-0 win over Wrexham at Bramall Lane. The Brentford loanee made his first Championship start in more than seven weeks, providing creativity on the left wing and delivering nine crosses before receiving a standing ovation in the 86th minute.

Wilder explained that Donovan had to bide his time due to squad rotation and recent positive results, but reaffirmed his long-term value for the remaining 33 league fixtures. Donovan started on the flank as Ben Brereton Díaz moved centrally to score the winning goal in the absence of striker Patrick Bamford.
