Gabby Williams scored her team's final 11 points of the third quarter and dazzled through the fourth on the way to 30 points as the Golden State Valkyries captured the WNBA championship in just their second season.

Gabby Williams scored 30 points to guide the Golden State Valkyries to their first WNBA championship with a 68-63 victory against the Atlanta Dream in Game 7 on Saturday night. Competing in only their second season as a franchise, the Valkyries secured the title behind Williams' 28 second-half points at a packed Chase Center.
Williams matched Penny Taylor as the only players in WNBA history to score 30 or more points in a winner-take-all Finals game, alongside recording four blocks. Head coach Natalie Nakase praised Williams as the team's closer, while Jordin Canada led Atlanta with 18 points.
