Red Devils now winless in nine for the first time since 1988…
Manchester United's winless streak stretched to nine games across all competitions following a 2-0 defeat against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Michael Carrick's team dominated the first half with chances from Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo, while Matheus Cunha had a goal disallowed for offside, but United ultimately failed to convert their opportunities.
Chelsea took the lead in the second half through a solo effort by Morgan Rogers. Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez received two bookings in two minutes, resulting in a red card and a penalty that Cole Palmer converted to seal Chelsea's victory.
