Fernando Alonso is already out of Mexico City qualifying and Q1 is not even over yet!

Fernando Alonso brought out an early red flag during qualifying for the Mexico City Grand Prix after his Aston Martin was forced to stop. With 11 minutes remaining in the first segment of qualifying, his race engineer ordered him to pull over in the stadium section despite Alonso asking to drive back to the pit lane.
Replays revealed smoke emerging from Alonso's car earlier in the lap, pointing toward a possible Honda power unit issue. Alonso struck his steering wheel in frustration and subsequently received a reprimand from stewards for failing to refit the wheel to his AMR26.
