The Washington Commanders have suffered major injury blows to their defensive front ahead of hosting the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 8. Starting defensive tackle Daron Payne suffered a significant foot injury during Friday's practice that is likely to land him on injured reserve. Washington had already ruled out fellow starting defensive lineman Javon Kinlaw due to a knee injury, leaving the Commanders without their top two interior defensive options.
Meanwhile, the Eagles will look to capitalize on Washington's thinned defensive front as running back Saquon Barkley prepares to play despite battling recent injuries. Philadelphia enters the divisional matchup on a five-game losing streak with a 2-5 record, while Dan Quinn's Commanders stand at 1-4-1.
