England have been urged to add a world-class referee to Steve Borthwick's coaching team…

Writing in his Sunday Times column, Lawrence Dallaglio urged England to "break the bank" to recruit retired referee Wayne Barnes to help resolve their disciplinary issues. Dallaglio pointed to teams seeking an edge through officiating expertise, noting that high penalty counts and yellow cards over the past year have severely undermined England's Test match performances.
The former England international's comments follow Wales head coach Steve Tandy appointing former referee Ben Whitehouse to his coaching staff ahead of the autumn internationals. South Africa also utilizes former referee Jaco Peyper, highlighting a growing trend among national teams looking to adapt to international officiating standards.
