Former WWE ref Jimmy Korderas delivered a blunt take on his expectations for the Maple Leafs this season, saying his is cautiously optimistic.

Former WWE referee and lifelong Toronto Maple Leafs supporter Jimmy Korderas shared his tempered expectations for the franchise, describing the squad as being in a rebuilding stage following substantial changes. Speaking to The Game Plan, the 64-year-old noted that while the team will need time to gel, he remains cautiously optimistic about their chances of reaching the playoffs.
Korderas also reflected on painful postseason memories, including past playoff eliminations against the Boston Bruins, comparing Toronto's repeat heartbreak to a wrestling false finish. Additionally, he defended former Leafs star Mitch Marner's unrestricted free agency departure, stating he understands why Marner sought other options when his time in Toronto ended.
