After back-to-back heavy defeats to England and Samoa, Wales end their debut campaign against champions Australia.

Wales head coach Tom Brindle has made two personnel changes to the starting line-up for their final 2026 Rugby League World Cup fixture against Australia on Sunday, November 1. Dual-code international Ffion Lewis replaces Amberley Ruck at stand-off, while Carys Marsh moves from the bench to start at hooker. Hooker Jasmine Gibbons misses the game after failing a head injury assessment against Samoa.
Wales are playing in their first World Cup and enter the match after conceding 146 points across heavy losses to England and Samoa. In contrast, reigning champions Australia have scored 118 points without conceding a single point in their opening two games as they pursue a fourth consecutive title.
