A furious Hamilton was heard saying 'We've got big problems, big, big problems' over his team radio during a red-flag period in the race caused by a crash for Valtteri Bottas' Cadillac.

Lewis Hamilton called for serious internal talks at Ferrari after questioning teammate Charles Leclerc's mentality following their collision on the opening lap of the Mexican Grand Prix. Starting on pole, Hamilton battled Leclerc through the first four corners, where Leclerc cut across the grass at turn four to briefly take the lead. The incident allowed Red Bull driver Max Verstappen to overtake Hamilton and eventually claim race victory, with Hamilton finishing second.
Leclerc received a five-second penalty for his actions, later stating he considered returning the position before Verstappen passed Hamilton. Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur confirmed he would speak to both drivers individually, describing the lost victory as difficult to digest. Meanwhile, Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli finished third to secure the Formula One world championship.
