Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jauan Jennings reportedly turned down a potential trade that would have sent him back to the San Francisco 49ers. According to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports, the 49ers had proposed trade terms worked out, but the deal was contingent on Jennings agreeing to return. During a FaceTime call with head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch, Jennings declined the move, stating he preferred to stay with the Vikings.
Jennings signed a one-year, $8 million deal with Minnesota after leaving San Francisco, and Jeremy Fowler reported that he chose to stay because he believes in Minnesota's direction. The 49ers are actively seeking wide receiver depth ahead of the trade deadline due to several injuries at the position.
