The Ferrari duo have been heavily criticised because of their antics.

Formula 1 fans largely concluded that Lewis Hamilton was at fault for his Mexico City Grand Prix clash with Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc after viewing Hamilton's on-board footage. During the early laps, Leclerc attempted a move around the outside at the turns four and five chicane before cutting across the grass into the lead. Despite stewards handing Leclerc a five-second penalty, fans on social media argued Hamilton braked excessively late and forced his teammate off the track.
The intra-team incident sparked tension within Ferrari, with Hamilton claiming the exchange cost the team a victory and Leclerc countering that he was pushed wide. Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur expressed strong frustration, describing the clash as showing a lack of respect for the team. Max Verstappen ultimately capitalized on the confrontation to win the race, while Ferrari heads next to the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
