The Celtic Fans Collective has challenged major shareholder Dermot Desmond to attend Celtic's upcoming Annual General Meeting in person. Desmond has not appeared at the club's AGM in 20 years, having last attended in 2006. The umbrella group released a statement urging the 76-year-old businessman to directly answer questions regarding his role and influence over the Scottish Premiership club's decision-making.
The demand comes amid rising tension following Celtic's recent form under manager Martin O'Neill, who has overseen six defeats in 10 matches across all competitions. Last year's AGM ended in disarray when Desmond's son Ross attended in his place, prompting heckling from supporters before then-chairman Peter Lawwell abandoned the meeting.
