Queensland Cup side Brisbane Tigers have confirmed the signing of playmaker Daejarn Asi following his release from Super League side Castleford Tigers. The 26-year-old will officially join the Australian outfit ahead of the 2027 season after departing England. Brisbane announced the move with a brief social media statement welcoming the half.
Asi made 56 appearances across two seasons for Castleford, tallying 10 tries and five goals. His move to Brisbane could potentially open a path back to the NRL, as the Queensland Cup team serves as an affiliate for incoming franchise Perth Bears.
