Paul Reed has made it easier for the Pistons to weather the storm.

With Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren sidelined for several weeks due to a hamstring injury, Paul Reed has stepped in and provided valuable offensive versatility. Writer Aaron Kellerstrass notes that Reed is averaging 14 points, seven rebounds, and two assists per game in Duren's absence, demonstrating effective perimeter shooting and craftiness around the rim.
However, Kellerstrass stresses that the Pistons still critically need Duren back in the lineup. Detroit misses Duren's efficient rim-running, pick-and-roll finishing with Cade Cunningham, and superior rebounding, concluding that both centers bring complementary skill sets the team needs.
