The Story in 60 Seconds

Glamorgan batter Asa Tribe has been ruled out of the England Lions tour of the West Indies due to travel restrictions linked to an Ebola outbreak in Kenya. The 22-year-old had recently played for Jersey in Kenya during the CWC Challenge League Group A matches. Tribe attempted to join the Lions squad in St Kitts and Nevis but only reached Paris before learning he could not enter the host nation.

St Kitts and Nevis enforces a 21-day non-entry policy for non-nationals who have visited Kenya, which announced Ebola cases in October. An ECB spokesperson confirmed that Tribe has returned to the UK while officials remain in contact with relevant authorities. Meanwhile, the Lions opened their white-ball series under new head coach Jonathan Trott with an eight-wicket victory over West Indies A.
