Darren Mougey and the New York Jets may end up with three top-10 picks after the Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys also lost in Week 8.

The New York Jets currently hold three top-10 selections in the 2027 NFL Draft following Week 8, according to Mike Luciano of The Jet Press. Recent losses by the Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys have significantly boosted the draft capital held by Jets executive Darren Mougey. If the season ended today, New York would hold the No. 4 overall pick via Indianapolis, the No. 6 pick from their own 2-6 record, and Dallas' No. 10 selection.
The Jets acquired the Colts' first-round pick through the Sauce Gardner trade and Dallas' pick via the Quinnen Williams deal. Luciano argues that the Jets must target a franchise quarterback alongside defensive reinforcements, including pass rushers to complement 2026 No. 2 pick David Bailey, a defensive tackle alongside T'Vondre Sweat, and a primary cornerback.
