Sunderland are sitting at the bottom of the Premier League table as their focus switches back towards their Europa League campaign.
Steven Gerrard has warned Sunderland to prioritize their Premier League survival over their Europa League campaign. Speaking on The Overlap Daily, the former Liverpool midfielder described the Black Cats' current domestic position as alarming and urged the club's board and manager Régis Le Bris to treat every league match like a cup final.
Sunderland currently sit bottom of the Premier League table after winning just one of their opening nine matches, following a weekend defeat to Coventry City. Despite collecting seven points from three Europa League fixtures ahead of hosting Dinamo Zagreb, Gerrard questioned whether player hunger levels had dropped after last season's seventh-place finish.
