The New York Mets claimed a right-handed reliever off waivers from the Minnesota Twins.

The New York Mets have claimed right-handed reliever Jack Anderson off waivers from the Minnesota Twins, according to MLB.com's Anthony DiComo. Minnesota originally claimed the 26-year-old pitcher off waivers from the Boston Red Sox in July. Anderson made just four major league appearances for the Twins during his brief tenure with the organization, primarily serving as bullpen depth.
The writer notes that the Twins likely parted ways with Anderson to clear space on their 40-man roster ahead of roster deadlines. Across seven career MLB appearances between Boston and Minnesota, Anderson has recorded a 2.19 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP over 12 1/3 innings.
