It wouldn’t be a true Toronto Maple Leafs season without an early scapegoat, and the wheel of blame has been firmly planted on Sergei Bobrovsky’s name for a couple of days now. Bobrovsky had his worst start of the season…

Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Jim Hiller defended his decision to start goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky for Tuesday's game against the Utah Mammoth. Despite Bobrovsky allowing 12 goals on 17 shots against the Seattle Kraken, Hiller explained the coaching staff is following a broader plan for their netminders.
Backup Anthony Stolarz previously made 26 saves on 28 shots in a 4-2 win against the Vancouver Canucks. However, Hiller reiterated strong confidence in Bobrovsky's professionalism and preparation as Toronto begins a stretch of six consecutive home games.
