The Story in 60 Seconds

The Chicago Blackhawks debuted their new green Hometown Remix alternate jerseys on Monday against the Colorado Avalanche to a lukewarm reception from fans. Part of Fanatics' league-wide 32-team alternate jersey collection, the design closely resembles the team's former St. Patrick's Day warmup jerseys. The Chicago Sun-Times notes that fan excitement was muted because the design felt repetitive and resembles the Dallas Stars' regular home uniforms.

Differences include tan secondary accents, a black collar, embossed Chicago flag stars on the sleeves, and brownish-tan gloves. The Blackhawks will wear the green jerseys again on December 29 against the Vegas Golden Knights and four times in March. Meanwhile, head coach Jeff Blashill praised the team's internal offensive metrics from recent games and stated he plans to keep Connor Bedard, Frank Nazar, and Anton Frondell at their natural center positions.
