The Cleveland Cavaliers suffered a 117-112 defeat against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Donovan Mitchell handed out a season-high 11 assists in the loss, although he struggled with his shooting efficiency by scoring 17 points on 17 attempts. Oklahoma City's defense challenged Cleveland's frontline throughout the contest by packing the paint, limiting interior scoring opportunities until adjustments were made in the fourth quarter.
Tony Pesta evaluated individual performances for the Cavaliers, awarding Evan Mobley player of the game honors with a B grade after he scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Reserve Mario Hezonja earned an A- for providing 12 points and eight rebounds off the bench, while rookie Meleek Thomas posted 17 points in his first career start.
