The Story in 60 Seconds

Hellsing, ridden by Tom Sherry, was awarded victory in the $3 million Big Dance following a dramatic stewards' inquiry. Formal Display was initially first past the post but was demoted to fourth after jockey Nash Rawiller lodged a successful protest on behalf of fourth-place finisher Gringotts, alleging severe interference between the 600m and 500m marks.

Chief steward Tom Moxon ruled that the incident cost Gringotts more than two lengths, concluding he would have finished ahead of Formal Display. Consequently, Hellsing was elevated to first, Matias took second, Gringotts finished third, and Formal Display was relegated to fourth.
