Caleb Williams threw a touchdown pass on the opening drive and Jeffery Simmons delivered just what Chicago needed on defense as the Bears beat the Seattle Seahawks 34-17 on Monday night.

The Chicago Bears defeated the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks 34-17 on Monday night. Caleb Williams completed 71 percent of his passes for 247 yards and a touchdown, while newly acquired defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons impressed on his debut following a blockbuster trade from the Tennessee Titans. Running back D'Andre Swift added three short rushing touchdowns to help the Bears improve their record to 6-2 on the season.
Simmons registered a sack, a tackle for loss, and six total tackles as Chicago's defense limited Seattle to 252 yards. Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold threw two touchdown passes but conceded a costly fourth-quarter interception that sealed the outcome. The defeat dropped Seattle to 4-4 and ended their 30-game streak of not losing by more than four points.
