Swansea City head coach Vitor Matos gives his verdict on the 3-1 Championship loss for his side at Fratton Park last night.

Swansea City head coach Vitor Matos criticized Portsmouth’s direct and overly physical approach following his team’s 3-1 Championship defeat at Fratton Park. Two stoppage-time goals secured the victory for John Mousinho's side, extending Portsmouth's unbeaten run to six games. Matos stated that Portsmouth played "too extreme" with long balls and vertical play, while also noting that referee Matt Corlett failed to control the match properly.
Swansea missed the chance to go top of the table after suffering their third loss in four matches. The Swans had equalized via a second-half penalty before conceding late goals, including one from a set-piece. In addition to the defeat, Swansea lost defender Stephen Welsh to a first-half knee injury following a challenge by Portsmouth's Ebou Adams.
