Jason Robertson’s historic second-period scoring blitz survived a late Washington rally as Dallas withstood a chaotic five-goal surge to secure a gritty road victory in the capital.

Jason Robertson scored a natural hat trick in the second period to lead the Dallas Stars to a 6-5 road victory over the Washington Capitals. Dallas built a 4-0 lead before Washington mounted a late comeback, but the Stars held on after surviving a third-period surge. Joel Kiviranta, Mikko Rantanen, and Roope Hintz also scored for Dallas in the high-scoring win.
Robertson's hat trick came in just over five minutes, marking the third-fastest in franchise history. Washington responded with goals from Jordan Kyrou, Boone Jenner, Jacob Chychrun, Justin Sourdif, and Ryan Leonard. Goaltender Jake Oettinger stopped 20 shots for Dallas, which now heads on the road to play Columbus.
