Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell confirmed that linebacker Jack Campbell is improving after sustaining a frightening neck injury on Sunday. The linebacker was carted off on a backboard and hospitalized overnight following a tackle on Minnesota Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson.
While Campbell was alert and breathing when transported to the hospital, the Lions have not yet announced a formal diagnosis or return timetable. Detroit plans to rely on Derrick Barnes, Trevor Nowaske, and Malcolm Rodriguez during Campbell's absence.
