Key Things to Know
  • Pakistan players are unlikely to feature in the Abu Dhabi T10 due to PCB certificate demands.
  • The PCB requires the league to pay $10,000 for each No-Objection Certificate issued to Pakistani players.
  • Sixteen Pakistani players were picked across five franchises during the September 30 player draft.
The Story in 60 Seconds

Pakistani cricketers are unlikely to participate in the upcoming Abu Dhabi T10 after the Pakistan Cricket Board demanded a $10,000 fee per No-Objection Certificate. The board only communicated the requirement days before the tournament's November 7 start date, leaving franchise teams scrambling to either pay the fee or identify replacement players.

A total of 16 players from Pakistan were selected across five franchises during the September 30 draft, including Naseem Shah, Shadab Khan, and Azam Khan. The dispute follows a similar incident last month where the PCB sought $25,000 per NOC for the Nepal Premier League.
