Calum French turned professional five years ago after missing out on the Olympics - but his trials and tribulations were only just beginning…

Professional boxer Calum French is determined to continue his career after overcoming a severe shoulder injury and losing his managerial and promotional backing. French revealed that he fought with a fractured shoulder after undergoing previous surgery, resulting in a loss before receiving corrective bone fusion surgery.
Following his surgery, French's contracts expired and his previous coach was imprisoned. He subsequently rehabilitated in Sheffield with coach Rob McCracken, is now trained by former world champion Anthony Crolla, and believes his best years in boxing remain ahead of him.
